🌞 What a weekend at WAMBO!

We were so excited to see all the interest in Citizen Science – even with the heat turned up! Our Water Taste Challenge kept things cool and fun: the White Cup was Wallaceburg municipal water, and the Blue Cup was reverse osmosis water from the Water Hut. Thanks Water Hut.

💧 Taste Test Results

  • Undecided: 5
  • White Cup (Municipal): 17
  • Blue Cup (Water Hut): 23
  • Total Tasters 45

Comments we heard:

  • Water Hut – “salty,” “smoother”
  • Municipal – “tastes like chlorine” (some could even smell it earlier in the day!)

🔍 Many of you, especially the younger crowd, showed real water divining talent. We even think a few may have picked up on the town water line!

🎣 Rob Lee wowed everyone with his fly-tying, while our volunteers Bela and Joel gathered your observations of our waterways for our very first year of surveys. We learned so much but most of all, we were proud of all our local and visiting Citizen Scientists. 💚

Thank you for making our first WAMBO event a splash! 🌊🐝
