WAMBO Water Taste Test Results: Tap Water vs. Filtered Water

💧🥁 THE RESULTS ARE IN! 🥁💧

At WAMBO, we put two waters to the test and asked a simple question:

Which one did you like best?

Visitors had the chance to taste Wallaceburg tap water and WaterHut filtered water, then choose the one they preferred. This was not about guessing which water was which. It was simply about which one they liked best!

💚💙 The Results

💚 GREEN = Wallaceburg tap water — 56 votes
💙 BLUE = WaterHut filtered water — 47 votes
🤷 Undecided — 7 votes

And the winner was…

💚 Wallaceburg tap water!

It was a close one, with Wallaceburg tap water receiving 56 votes compared with 47 votes for Water Hut filtered water.

When we include everyone who took part, the results have an approximate ±9 percentage point margin of error at a 95% confidence level.

Because this was a fun community Citizen Science activity and not a random scientific survey, the margin of error should be viewed as a rough statistical estimate, rather than a formal measure of public preference.

Why a Water Taste Test?

Sometimes Citizen Science starts with something as simple as a question.

Which water would people prefer?

Rather than guessing, we gave people the opportunity to try both and collect the results. Every vote became part of our little community experiment.
